About the Doctor

Michael Lyons, D.D.S., M.S.

Dr. Lyons is a southern California native, growing up just blocks away from his office in Placentia. Upon graduating from Valencia High School, he attended the University of California Irvine, where he received his bachelor's degree in biology.

Dr. Lyons is a cum laude graduate of the UCLA School of Dentistry, where he received the California Dental Association's highest award for excellence, and is a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. Upon graduation, he attended the prestigious University of California in San Francisco for his orthodontic training. Studying both orthodontics and biology, he graduated with his Certificate in Orthodontics and a master's degree in oral biology. He has presented his research in the area of craniofacial growth and adaptation at several national and international symposiums.

In his free time, Dr. Lyons likes to play golf and tennis. He and his wife Michelle enjoy traveling, and they are both avid hockey and baseball fans.
